Slovakia coach Jozef Resetar has confirmed that Katarina Polakova is doubtful for his side's forthcoming qualification matches for the 2005 EuroBasket Women.

Polakova injured her back during a training camp and could miss several friendly matches as well as qualification games.

"Katarina Polakova has had big problems with her back," Resetar said.

"She had to go to see a doctor and she even had to spend some nights in hospital.

"She is not OK and we cannot count on her for qualification. "

However, despite the loss of Palakova, Resetar claims that he is content with how his squad is shaping up.

"We have now 15 players for the next part of preparation. The final nomination for additional qualification will have 12 players," he added.

"I am satisfied with our preparation up till now. 

"I am in a much better position than this time last year when I had only one week of preparation when I first became coach of this team."

Slovakia face Finland in three consecutive friendlies on July 15, 16 and 17.
