After securing qualification for the EuroBasket Women, Serbia & Montenegro looked to be a middle-of-the road team with quarter-final place an optimistic outlook.
That assessment may have to change after Wednesday's demolition by Spain, a game which saw the Serbo-Montenegrin team completely cave in against a team which took bronze two years ago.
Serbia & Montenegro led 10-9 after five minutes but ended up getting hammered 101-53.
Players who helped the team qualify for the EuroBasket did take part in the game, including Jelena Skerovic who had a game-high 14 points for her team and point guard Milica Dabovic who weighed in with nine points.
It was a thoroughly frustrating night for everyone in the Serbo-Montenegrin camp, however.
