Israel are so confident after their 69-67 triumph over Ukraine that coach Eli Rabi is giving his players a chance to make it all the way to Turkey for the EuroBasket Women.
Their hopes looked bleak after Croatia beat them 74-66 in the opening game of the additional qualifying round in Group C for both sides, but Israel bounced back to win a thriller against the Ukrainians, a game in which they made 13 of 16 free throws.
Eli Rabi, Israel's head coach, said after: "We were a real team with good defence and offence.
"If we continue acting like this in future games, we'll have a chance to qualify."
Liron Cohen, a 1.73m guard who played for Israel at the EuroBasket two years ago in Greece, poured in 19 points against Ukraine.
