Hosts Turkey were handed a difficult task at the Eurobasket Women 2005 draw held on Friday in Istanbul.
Turkey, who will be making their Eurobasket Women debut, are grouped with 2003 champions and Olympic bronze medalists Russia. They will also face 2003 bronze medalists Spain, 1997 champions Lithuania and Serbia & Montenegro.
