Croatia women's coach Viktor Kovac is confident his team can win in Ukraine on Wednesday to keep their hopes of qualifying for the European Championships alive.
Croatia's outstanding defence helped them earn a 75-60 victory over Latvia on Saturday, lifting them to third in Group B.
But they are level on six points with second-placed Latvia - with two wins and two defeats from their four matches.
The two second placed teams with the best records will qualify for the Eurobasket.
They travel to Ukraine before finishing the qualifying campaign at home against group leaders Slovakia, who have a 100% record so far.
Kovac hopes his players can continue the form they showed against Latvia in their remaining matches.
He said: "The key to this win was our defensive play. Good games against (Latvian player) Anete Jekabsone, who was best against us, gave us the chance to win.
"We entered this game hoping to win by one point. In the end to win by 15 is fantastic against such a difficult team.
"This has opened up the possibility (of qualifying) in our next games."
On the upcoming matches against Ukraine and Slovakia, he added: "We go step by step. We think first about our game. If we play well defensively we can win. Now it is important to win in Ukraine."
