Zaporozhye started the game very aggressively and with 2 minutes to go in the 1st quarter, had already built up a 13 point lead (21:8). The key to this jump start was a very active performance of Oxana Pys'mennyk.

As soon as the French head coach took a time-out, his players' game changed for the better, and very soon they reduced the gap to only 6 points (21:15).

Both teams allowed a lot of mistakes in the second quarter, but Kozachka pulled back to the previous level of advantage again (40:26) due to an impressive and efficient performance of Lyubov Aleshkina and Maryna Khabarova.

The 3rd period saw very balanced play and the Ukrainians managed to increase their advantage by another two points (65:49).

In the 4th quarter Anete Jekabsone of Mondeville performed brilliantly and, all by herself, reduced Kozachka's advantage to a mere 8 points (71:63) with three minutes to go.

Despite desperate efforts of the French team, they were unable to get closer. Kozachka-ZALK still led by 10 at the final whistle.

MVP of the game: Lyubov Aleshkina (Kozachka-ZALK)
