Ros Casares have extended Polish international Margo Dydek's contract through the 2007-08 campaign.

The 2.13m center, who joined Ros Casares last summer, has excelled on defense as she leads both the Liga Femenina and the EuroLeague Women in blocked shots.

Carme Lluveras, the general manager of Ros Casares, said: "We're looking to feed our ambition by giving continuity to the team.

"We want to make sure that we keep the backbone of this competitive roster together.

"For that reason, it's imperative for us to keep Margo Dydek."

Dydek, 32, is averaging 9.5 points and 7.9 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game in Spain, and 9.7 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in the EuroLeague.

Ros have also renewed the contracts of EuroLeague Women All-Stars Delisha Milton-Jones and Elisa Aguilar.

The Valencia team lead the Liga Femenina with 16 wins from 18 games, while in the EuroLeague Women they have advanced to the quarter-finals.
