Aguilar Signs On For Another Season

27.03.2009

Ros Casares captain Elisa Aguilar has put pen to paper on a one-year deal to extend her stay with Ros Casares.

The 32-year-old is in her seventh season with the club that she has celebrated 13 trophies with.

"She is the captain of the team and she will continue to guide it on and off the court," said Ros Casares general director Carme Lluveras.

Aguilar, who played college basketball at George Washington University and is now the veteran point guard of Spain's national team, has made her mark at Ros Casares.

Among her  title celebrations are three Liga Femenina championships and five Copa de la Reina.

Ros Casares go into Saturday's home game against Rivas Ecopolis with 22 victories and just one defeat - four games clear of Perfumerias Avenida.

The club played in this year's EuroLeague Women and narrowly missed out on a place at the Final Four when losing their Quarter-Final series to Spartak Moscow Region, 2-1.

Earlier this month, Laia Palau also extended her contract with Ros Casares.
