Gruda, Dumerc Highlight All-Tournament Team

The 2009 EuroBasket Women champions Sandrine Gruda and Celine Dumerc of France headed the All-Tournament Team in Riga along with Most Valuable Player winner Evanthia Maltsi of Greece.

Gruda led the champions France in scoring (15.4 ppg) and rebounding (7.7 rpg) while shooting 50 percent from the field.

Dumerc ended the tournament as the French's second leading scorer (8.1 ppg) while averaging a team-best 3.3 assists as well as 2.4 rebounds and 1.8 steals.

Maltsi led the tournament in scoring with 22.6 points per game as well as steals (3.1) and free throw percentage (91 percent) while averaging 4.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists and shooting 40 percent from three-point range.

Joining the freshly-crowned European champions and Maltsi on the All-Tournament Team were Latvia's Anete Jekabson-Zogota and Russia's Svetlana Abrosimova.

Abrosimova was Russia's all-around force, averaging 11.2 points, 7.0 rebouds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals for the silver medalists.

And Jekabsone was the second-best scorer in the tournament with 20.3 points for the seventh placed Latvia.
